You told Margie your Campbells were in KY, Ohio, Indiana, and Illinois. Perhaps there is a connection with my Campbells. My g-grandfather Wiley or Wylie Campbell was supposed to have been born near Vincennes, Indiana on the Wabash River in 1846. I have no idea who his parents or siblings were, but the brothers were supposed to have fought on opposite sides in the Civil War. Some family members say they were told the brothers who came from Ireland via Scotland landed in NY. One stayed there, one went perhaps to PA, and ours roamed. My brother is participating in the Campbell DNA project and is an exact match to John Campbell of VA who married Grace Hay. Wiley married Sarah Williams who was born in Alabama. His sons were Milton Anderson (Andy), Joseph, Grant, Elmer Lee (Lee). His daughters were Margaret Elizabeth (Lizzie) and Agnes. Wiley P. Campbell was born in Indiana at about the right time, but I haven't been able to connect him up. If someone in that family is participating in the DNA project, that might tell whether he is my Wiley. I would be grateful for any suggestions. Lee Ann Dauphinot
