Hello Steve, I would agree with you that the 1810 census at Nelson Co VA, spelled as Ambrous Campbell, would be the son of Henry and Charity. It makes a very nice fit, since he died in Nelson Co VA. As to were is Ambrose Campbell b. before 1770, married Nancy Gillaspie 7-2-1799, and eventually sold out his land to his brother John Campbell of Amherst Co, VA, I don't know where he is in a census report. Does anyone know where Ambrose Campbell, s/o George and Caty Campbell of Amherst Co VA went to? Did he leave the area for another State?
