Can anyone give me more info on one Archibald CAMPBELL, born abt 1685 married Mary Noteman. He may have had a son James Campbell - had a daughter Jane Campbell born abt 1719 married John Toft on 28/10/1736 Ormiston East Lothian Scotland. I have several Archibald Campbells from the 1600s but cannot pinpoint dates of birth. The births I have make them too old for their parents! Have been trying to get more info but no one seems to have any info on the Campbells of the 1600s. The one I have that is the closest to 1685 would be the third child out of eight of James Campbell, Sir and Susan Campbell, Lady. He was born in Auchinbreck, Argyll, Scotland. I have ancestry if this happens to be the one you are looking for. I do not have any other info on this Archibald such as spouse or descendants.
