Vol. A: Page 186 In the name of God Amen, I James CAMPBELL former living in Mecklenburg County and state of N Carolina being advanced in years and being for sometime ailing in body and calling to mind my mortality knowing that it is appointed for all men once I choose to make this my last Will and Testament and first I recommend my Soul to Almighty God who gave it Begging he would accept the same for Christ's sake. And as it hath pleased God to bless me with a family and a small portion of this worlds goods I choose to dispose of the same in the following manner, and first I allow all my just and law full debts to be discharged Primis I bequeath unto my well beloved wife Jane CAMPBELL the one third of all my estate real or personal during life or widowhood together with her Spinning wheel wearing apparel a saddle and bed and furniture Item I bequeath unto Elizabeth HOUSMAN my daughter five shillings sterling besides what she hath already received Item I bequeath unto my daughter Grace DORTON five shillings sterling besides what she already got Item I bequeath unto my son James CAMPBELL five shillings sterling besides what he hath already received.
