    3. I am also looking for Campbells from New Jersey. My husband's great great grandfather was John F. Campbell who was born in New York state in 1833 but always stated in each census that his father was born in New Jersey. However I do not have the father's first name. Is there any chance that you have George's father's first name? And have any of the family joined the DAR so that there would be a record there that we could search? Could you also write back with George's children's names. Many thanks! John F. Campbell was born Jan 1, 1833 somewhere in New York state and was married to Luceba Jane Buchanan May 23, 1856 in Hillsdale, Michigan. They had 9 children all born in Hillsdale County and Eaton County, Michigan: Frank E. Campbell b. 1857 George J. Campbell b. 1859 Edgar Allan Campbell b. April 17, 1861 (my husband's gt grandfather) Fred B. Campbell b. April 1863 Henry F. Campbell b. abt 1864 Irving C. Campbell b. 1867 Charles D. Campbell b. April 3 1870 Mary L. Campbell b. June 7, 1872 Nellie Louise Campbell b. August 1874 Diane Campbell Dollard des Ormeaux, Quebec, Canada ----- Original Message ----- From: "Earl Roberts" <eleon@prodigy.net> To: <CAMPBELL-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, February 04, 2006 7:07 AM Subject: [CAMPBELL] George Campbell NJ > KY > OH > I am still seeking information on my George Campbell b. 3 Jan 1778, > NJ, d. 30 Oct 1854, Adams Co., OH, buried Flat Run Cemetery, Adams > Co., OH, m. 15 Sep 1803 Adams Co., OH > Catherine "Caty" Noland, b. 25 Nov 1779, d. 16 Aug 1842, buried Flat > Run Cemetery, Adams Co., OH. > > According to a history of Adams Co., OH "George Campbell was born in > New Jersey, January 3, 1778.
