HOWDY CUZ, I know what that you are saying is what others have said, That My Fourth Great Grand Mother, Frances, <Wright> SAID that they were Married in Amherst County, Va. in 1779. NOW I am not Contradicting Grand Ma. What I said WAS that No record of John & Frances Having been Married Found in the Amherst County Marriage Records that are On Reel # 37, <Amherst County Marriage Records that is in the Va. State Library Here in Richmond Va. I have a Copy of Marriage records Of York County Va, Marriages Showing that one John Campbell & Elizabeth Wright Were Married in York County in 1787 & another Record showing one John Campbell & Elizabeth Wright as Having gotten Married in 1779. But more than one Researcher have Stated that they have NOT found a Record in Amherst County of This Marriage. Only Grt Grand Ma's Word on her Application For a REV. WAR Pension. Seems that Satisfied the Government, AS I am Satisfied that Grt Grand PA John Campbell DID IN FACT marry Frances Wright. I am only saying what researchers are saying that No one has found a Marriage for John Campbell & Frances, <WRIGHT> in Amherst County Records. I see much ABT her Pension Application.
