Dear Campbell Corners, Please do not unsubscribe. We all want to hear about your Campbell family line, and the names and dates and locations. There is a very weird situation, in that about 10 men all named Campbell, where all living in early days in the area of central Virginia, which today is called Amherst Co and Nelson Co VA, and these 10 men are not related, that we know of yet, but they all left kids named Campbell. These kids all had kids, some stayed forever in this same area, some moved away to Timbuktu. So the situation is, this Concentration of the name CAMPBELL in this area in Central VA has caused alot of reasearchers to be looking there. Also, these people all seemed to keep marrying into their own families, cousins, and second cousins, so the concentration of Campbell names just keeps growing. I for one am very interested in the Campbell name all over. My Campbell name starts in Amherst Co VA, but was in Ennis, TX, then to Cornish, OK, and descendants all over CA, TX, and OK. Thru DNA testing we recently find out our same Campbell line in Amherst Co VA shares it's ancestry with Campbell families in Mexico, New Mexico, and all over USA various locations, so we are not limited in our scope of interest. Hey, I have NEVER found any Campbells in common with mine. I have saved 3510 messages just in case something turns up later. Every once in a while I ask again about Iowa Campbells. So, hang in there. It has nothing to do with being a click... just whether their people click with your people. I can only go back to my grandmother's siblings and her parents. Anyone related to a William M. Campbell??? b 1842, IA or PA d 1886 in Ankeny, Polk Co, IA) m Mary Louise Schwartzfager B 1850/51 in PA William M had four brothers (one may be named Floyd) William M died in a farm accident while children were young. He had five children: 1. Frank, 2. Charles Todd, 3. Nellie E., 4. Mary Louise (b 2 Oct 1878; d 21 Apr 1973), 5. Minnie E. Mary Louise (LOUISE) was my grandmother, and I just don't have any info about her family other than this. As far as I know, the family stayed in Iowa. Does this fit with ANYONE???
