I subscribe to this list because I too have Campbell ancestors. However, mine came from Ireland to Boston to Ct and then to NY and beyond. I have posted to the list and have never rec'd any help. However, I have become aquainted with a very nice lister from Georgia and that is worth the subscribing. I should also add that I have submitted my files to the Campbell Society genealogist and she rejected the ancestry as presented and offered no suggestion to an alternative solution. It just so happens that the active listers all have location of research or the surname in common. I don't think they mean to be a "clique" or to ignore others, but they, like the genealogist have nothing to offer. I submit my ancestry as a query occasionally and hope that someone with a connection to the Campbells from Voluntown, Ct will respond. I am still waiting. So don't feel slighted because you feel you don't "fit"...post your query and monitor the list; someday someone else my subscribe who will be able to help you. Carol Church
