Thomas, Then To Just A. T.> So Then you Need to Look for A Nickname that would not have gotten into Official Records. I see that you Have a William B. & A- William E. That could be the reason for the Changing the William E To W. Eligah. There were three A. T.,s in My neighborhood, <NOW 3> I would get my mail & have one of the other A T.,s Mail & some time I would Get my Paper in the A M & check my Mail box & there was More mail where one of the A T., s had dropped of from the Mail man had left in his Box the Day before. So you ARE very well on the right Family, BUT see if you can find any thing that indicates a Nickname. My Campbell,s Are & have been in Amherst & Nelson County Va Since before those Counties were Formed. Some of our Researches Have our Campbell's Moving from one County to another. When it was the County line that was Changed. Like they lived in New Kent THE 1600,s & the Researcher Has them moving Until they show up in Nelson County, which was formed in 1808 from the same area that was part of New Kent County when the Campbell's Settled there in the 1600,s. Geographical Boundry Changes has Moved many people, That are now living right where their Ancestors first Settled & They I.D.ed the Same named Family members with the same First & Last Name, With A Nickname.
