I think we should create a database of all information everyone has on "George Campbells" in the U.S. prior to 1800. We can get all the info together in one place and perhaps separate them out one by one. There doesn't appear to be that many "Georges"-- I know we have a couple in Augusta Co., VA; 2 in Amherst Co., VA; and another somewhere by the James Fork in VA. If everyone concentrates their efforts on identifying the various Georges, we should be able to identify who is who. So far, there have only been 3 records of a George Campbell entering the VA/SC/MD area in the 1700's. Anyone willing to work on something like this?
I'm game for any thing that can lead to the identification of our early ancestors!@!
