    3. I was looking at something for Barbara..I have nothing more than what I posted. NC formed in 1789, but NC territorywas established in 1653 when groupsofsettlers came south from VA to occupy the section north of the Albermarle Sound. It took over 80 years to reach a population of 14k. From 1691 to 1711 it was administered by SC. I did see on Ancestry where some deaths certificates for NC show the person born in VA...so it's very possible. Yadkin county formed in 1850 from Surry county. Surry county formed in 1770 from Rowan county. Rowan county formed in 1753 from Anson county. Anson county formed in 1749 from Bladen county. Bladen county formed in 1734 from New Hanover/Bath counties New Hanover county formed in 1729 from Craven county Bath county formed in 1696 as an original county & was discontinued in 1739. Craven county formed in 1705 as a precinct of Bath county (note..this from Handy Book,Animap does not show this..it shows Archdale formed in 1705 as precinct of Bath...and name changed to Craven in 1712). Actually, looking at Animap...I would concentrate from Anson forward..Bladen ends up too far south of Yadkin to be included really, just my opinion. Now, how's that for info on a name & places I have never researched? LOL...it's what you get when I am not finding any of what I am looking for. How do these Bladens in Yadkin county fit into the Campbells from Amherst/Nelson/Albermarle counties of VA? Marge Campbell Still looking for Good Ol' Ellis Cammel (Campbell) b 1804 in VA.
