    3. Hello Malcolm, Rescobie is in Angus, Scotland. His parents were James (Sr) and Agnes Frazer. James Campbell Sr.,would have been involved in the '45 in some way. I'm not sure if there is a connection in Grey County. I'm trying to find my Campbell descendants that came to Canada and am not having much luck. Other surnames in my tree are: Smith, Moonlight, Dunsmuir, Cuthbertson just to name a few. Any ring a bell? Thank you so much for your time, Kathleen Hamilton,Ontario Drafts (1) > From: [email protected] > To: [email protected] > Date: Sun, 1 Aug 2010 23:08:21 -0400 > Subject: Re: [Campbell] Not a chirp > > Hi Kathleen > > I too am in Canada, Windsor, ON. > > My people settled in Craigleith, Collingwood Twp., Grey County, just west of > the town of Collingwood. > > They were from Islay, Scotland. > > My Dugald CAMPBELL, b. 1805 on Islay, claimed the land of an Indian clearing > at the foot of the Blue Mountains, just down the road from what is now Bleu > Mountain Ski Resort, north of Toronto.
