Hi Kathleen Good to hear from you. James CAMPBELL's parents' names mean nothing to me. My people were all on Islay, an island on the west coast of Scotland. Glad you have them. Paper records that far back are rare. It is said that my man, Dugald's 6 uncles all served in the British army and were rewarded with land. Dugald was supposed to return to Scotland to claim his in heritance but died before he could make the journey. His parents died when he was young so he was "raised by strangers". He married Anne KEITH 21 Nov 1829. They immigrated to Canada in 1832. That's all I have. Hope you have a few more details on your people.
