They married and raised children near Glasgow,Scotland. Their children were Elizabeth (married a cousin John Campbell). On June 1924 was living in Burgin, Kentucky. It is believed there were no children), John (b May 7, 1835, Scotland; d January 20, 1905, New Market, Iowa), James William (b August 15, 1843, Parkhead (Glasgow) Scotland, d February 3, 1920 Centerville, Iowa), Richard Donald (b September 13, 1844 Glasgow Scotland, d June 27, 1924 Brazil, Iowa),Ellen b Jun 7,1843( married a Campbell whereabouts unknown) and Biithia (Bertha Love) (b May 7, 1854 Glasgow, Scotland, d September 10, 1907 La Monte, Missouri) William worked in a brewery. He came to the United States in 1871 when passage was arranged by sons Richard and James. (both of whom worked in the coal mines in Scotland. His son Richard Donald(my ggrandfather) was injured for a short time form an accident and was reluctant to join the Clan Army, so in 1868 he set out for America.He settled near Sharon, Mercer County, Pennsylvania. William died August 19, 1875 at New Shannic, Mercer County Pennsylvania.Richard made a relocation to Scot Haven about 1878 before leaving Pennsylvannia for Iowa(Appanoose co) in 1882 in a covered wagon with his family of three children,Arabella,Ella and William John, wife Eleanor Gilmore(b 18 OCT 1842 Ireland) and mother. He worked the Coal mines in Brazil,Iowa. My grandfather Richard Donald Campbell Jr.(Coal miner) was born 15 APR 1883, and died 20 AUG 1939 .
