    3.   I am looking for any information on a Campbell family in Orange Co NC. Daughter Elizabeth Campbell married a John Couch in Dec. 2, 1783. Roger Campbell is mentioned as well as Robert Couch & Roger Daniel. Elizabeth (Besty) died before Feb 1796 leaving daughters  Mary, Letitia (Letty), July (Julia), Eleanor & Elizabeth.     Letitia is the only dau that married (twice) and moved near Alanta Ga. She was also a spy during the Civil War. Oct  1799 John Couch married Susannah Smith d/o Martha & John Smith. and had son John S. Couch. John Couch's widowed mother Mary married widow John Patterson in Orange Co 1777. Mary Couch Patterson will in 1796 only mentions John & Besty's daughters. So I will assume son John may be an only child.   This is not my family, but it has been very much confused with my Campbell & Couch families of Kentucky. Mother Elizabeth (possible nee; James) sons John, William Campbell & daughter Janette.  My Campbell's were Orthodox Scotchman & his children taught him to read, so he could read his Bible. Over the years Elizabeth was said to be married to an Patrick Campbell.  But, DNA has proven there are no conection to Patrick. The 4 DNA Ky Campbell's stand alone in their group. thanks, Vic ************************************ DNA what a wonderful geneology tool  !!!!! ************************************
