    1. [Campbell] Aeneas Campbell - Rev War Pension File
    2. Marge_Lmcam
    3. I've looked at Aeneas (Enos, Eneas) Campbell & his wife Liazean (Lizzy Ann, Elizabeth Ann) Belt Campbell several times. I looked at his Rev War Pension file today. The information in the file is from their youngest son, David Campbell b 26 Feb 1810 in GA. There is a bible record , torn from the beginning or ending of the bible flyleaves.... Aeneaz Campbell was married to Lizean Belt the 25th day of Febr 1791. Aeneaz Campbell was born 3rd October 1757 Leazean Belt was born 20th Febr 1767 Birth of sons and daughters of Aeneaz Campbelll in Leazean his wife Thomas Campbell was born 10th April 1793 Elijah Campbell was born Jany 17th 1795 Umphrey Campbell was born Febr 18th 1797 Esther Campbell was born Jany 3rd 1799 Asa Campbell was born March 28th 1801 Rutha Campbell was born May 27th 1803 Belt Campbell was born Sept 9th 1805 Elizabeth C Campbell was born Sept 23rd 1807 David C Campbell was born Febr 26 1810. Georgia. The above is taken from the written record and spelled as it is in the record. Leazean is spelled two ways in the record. Now, to me... I'd be wondering why all the writing is the exact same...wouldn't the handwriting or ink change with each birth? Maybe not...thinking David wrote this on old book flyleaf...maybe Aeneaz died 16 Dec 1828 & Eliza Ann Belt Campbell died 4 Jan 1853 in NC. David lived in GA The pension file is for MD...where Enos, etc served in the war. The pension also says this was a 2nd marriage for Aeneas. I found proof of that last year in an old publication that said James Campbell and his wife Elizabeth Eveland came from Loudoun Co. Some researchers have said that they lived near Leesburg. Have you any James's in your info that might fit with mine? He was born either 1783 or 1788. He married Elizabeth Eveland in 1804 - so that would have him pretty young. They moved to Muskingum Co, Ohio in the early 1820's. I have thought at times that a John was his father - but I have no proof of that. His oldest son was William - so that may have been his father's name - again no idea of how to connect. I don't have many male Campbells in my family so I don't know if I could convince anyone to do a DNA test - even if I pay. No one is as interested as I am. Anyway, thanks for your time. Carol

    3. David was born in Iredell Co, NC and then moved to Wilkes Co, GA. Eliza Ann's father, Thomas Belt donated the land for New Hope Baptist Church and Aeneas Jr, Thomas (both graves have SAR/DAR markers) and Eliza Ann and several of the children are buried there. Some are in the family plot in the middle of a cow pasture with field stones as markers.
