Hello Ian, I have no info on your inquiry, but could I ask you what source you used to find the irish information, Birth, marriage etc. on your Irish kindred? Do you know of any living Campbell's from this line who would be willing to do a DNA test for you. I did this and it gave me my whole line minus 200 years. I had a Solomon Campbell born and died in Drubroden Ireland around 1775(am still trying to find his grave), With the DNA test it linked me into the Campbell Chieftan line around early 1600's. Good luck my friend! Hi Tom, The CAMPBELL line is my wife's maternal side. I don't know of any of the remaining male CAMPBELLs that would be a candidate for a DNA test. Most of the information we have gleaned so far has come from three sources: - discussions my wife had with her mother about the family history - Scottish Census returns which indicate Ireland as the place of birth - work completed by a cousin who has extensively researched the CAMPBELL line Regards, Ian MARR This message can be considered to be in the public domain.
