Good afternoon Campbell people, it's nice to see the activity in the group, sorry that some is negative, but I say live and let live and hit the delete button. I have posted my Campbell's before but with no luck, so trying again. William Hugh (Huey) Campbell was born 16 Nov 1839 in Louisiana. He is listed on the Louisiana 1850 census with his Mother Sarah Campbell, not Dad, the children listed are Ellen, Huey, Samuel, Lofton, Lucretia and Francis. Some local cousins and I believe Sarah is Sarah Barnes, going on Ancestry.com, she is listed as the mom born 1809 in Louisiana (I thought she was from Arkansas) and William Hugh Campbell is listed as Dad who was born abt 1805 in North Carolina and died 1849 in Louisiana. I see on Ancestry.com there is a lot of William Hugh Campbells and a lot of Hugh Campbell. There is also some with similar names in south Louisiana, but I'm looking in north or central Louisiana. Does anyone have a missing William from North Carolina?
