    3. I've been monitoring the list for some time and hoping someone out there can help. John Campbell born c1784 in Scotland, a weaver by trade, member of the Kirk of Scotland, married to Grace unknown surname also born in Scotland. They had 2 children that we know of Neil Campbell b. 1831 in Martintown, d. 1892 in Barkerville BC and Janett born c1832 in Martintown. The family is listed on the 1851 census for Martintown and the 1861 census for Charlottenburg twp just John and Grace are listed, after that I've not been able to locate them yet. The book "The Campbells of Martintown...." indicates there may have been another son but so far we've not located anything to confirm this. Neil's line we have, he married Barbara Blackwood of Franklin Que in 1862 and while the family remained in Martintown for some years Neil travelled to BC several times to the gold fields before bringing his family to Victoria BC sometime between 1881 and 1891. Neil and Barbara had a family of five children who all came and settled in BC as well. Any suggestions on locating further information on John, his wife Grace or their daughter Janett would be appreciated.

    3. Debra; Since no one else has stepped up to the plate to respond, let me inform you of our Campbell-kids program, our commitment and objective. Our goal is to develop a FTM file on the family of George and Caty Campbell of Amherst County Va. Our George Campbell was born in about 1720 and died in 1791. He and his wife Catherine had 13 children that we are attempting to document their lineage, So far our research has not strayed from this specific family which is quite earlier than your John Campbell born in Scotland in 1784. Regrets, but I see no connection what so ever. Good luck in your hunt. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Debra Parminter" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Sunday, July 11, 2010 14:03 Subject: [Campbell] Campbells of Martintown Ontario > I've been monitoring the list for some time and hoping someone out there > can > help. > > John Campbell born c1784 in Scotland, a weaver by trade, member of the > Kirk > of Scotland, married to Grace unknown surname also born in Scotland.
