Doris, you have a short memory. A year ago AT was having problems with his computer and his use of obsolete software. His posts were only in the subject line of the message and I also had enough of his blank messages and asked for some help in resolving AT's un-contributing replies. You clearly advised me that the Campbell site is for serious researchers and that I should go back to playing my video games or hit the delete key if I didn't like AT's replies. I have traveled in the south and have found the population to speak English, however I also find AT's replies difficult to follow or understand. Your reply to Mr. Weissenberg was similar to your reposnse to my request for help.... it to was a bit insulting, not necessary, nor did it contribute to maintaining the quality of the Campbell site. As a serious researcher, I have learned; 1. . you may indeed hit the delete key if you don't care for the message. 2. . in looking at the achieves of these messages, these files are riddled with replies from AT, thus making researching these files very time consuming. 3. . my fear that those serious researchers who may be researching these achieves may also abandon their research because of replies that do not contain any value. 4. sadly from lesson no. 1 above, to hit the delete key for all posts from AT. Lets keep this site serious and maintain quality messages! Mr von Weissenberg I have never before heard anyone complain about Cuz A T messages, I have never had no problems with his message, may be that you don't understand English or people from the south. _______________________________________ Remember to search the archives use this address http://listsearches.rootsweb.com/?list=CAMPBELL Browse the archives at http://archiver.rootsweb.com/th/index/CAMPBELL/ Contact the List Manager mailto:[email protected] ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to [email protected] with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message
Wow... it's interesting that you should see an insult in the response to someones request (and your own apparently, before my time here) re the quality of AT's messages and no insult in how AT is discussed like he isn't reading these messages. personally, I found it not that difficult to take in the style he uses. If you do, you will find both needed encouragement and interesting, helpful hypothesis. We have also exchanged information privately. I don't think anyone is getting paid for what they do here, this is just a fairly public email group. Who is going to judge what serious is? ----- Original Message ---- From: "[email protected]" <[email protected]> To: [email protected] Sent: Mon, July 19, 2010 11:04:57 AM Subject: Re: [Campbell] (no subject) Doris, you have a short memory.
