This is a period during our annual Campbell reunion. Yes, he talks as he communicates in writing - he calls it "mountain fied talk" and I can understand his rationale for saying so. When he gets excited he may slobber and spit; take off his straw hat, stretch his red suspenders or stomp with his cane...but never raises his voice. However, a better friend and Christian man you will not find. I have never heard AT say a bad word about anyone.....Cousin Arthur, and he prefers AT rather than Arthur, was born and raised in a mountainous area of Amherst County near 85 years ago. His degree comes not from the University of Up Town, but from the University of hard knocks - all providing him with a level temperament and the love and joy of his fellow man. We would all be better off if we had the fortitude and moxie as our Cousin AT and I would hope we would all accept and respect his routine and method of telling us what he knows about his Campbell kin.
