    3. Faye, There is a copy in the Iredell County Library. I have searched in every used book store that I have passed as a traveling feed salesman for 15 years to find a copy, but no luck. I asked Lucille's daughter if there were any way I could purchase one, but she said they had been gone for years and that was nearly 15 years ago. I had her daughter's name in my address book for years and now can't lay my hands on it. Lucille was a sincere person who honestly searched and was only interested in the truth. There were some corrections made after publication, but they were cheerfully made and openly explained. I have a load of Turners around here and in early Maryland. They liked to marry into the Gaithers and related families also. Larry Faye W. 1. Larry Campbell / Tagay
    2. Sandy Newport
    3. I am looking for any information on the following person. this is all the information I have for him and want to find his natural parents. His mother was Elsie Althea Campbell Long, not sure if Campbell is maiden name or married name. Any info very much appreciated. Sandy Newport Laurence Daniel TAGAY: baptized as Laurence Daniel MAY 23 Dec 1938 at Church of the Nativity, 210 Oak Grove Avenue, Menlo Park, CA. Adopted by David & Jeanette MAY (d. 03 Sep 1965) Name on Petition for adoption Superior Court of Ca County of San Mateo was Larry Daniel Campbell aka Lollie Campbell aka Buddie Campbell dated Jan. 1944. document is amended to remove David because he died and Jeanette is now the sole petitioner. Document states that she has had physical custody since 10 Jan 1939 when his mother Althea Campbell left him with her. There was a court proceeding on 23 Aug 1943, proceeding No. 2320 to declare Larry Daniel Campbell "a minor free from parental control" but we do not have a copy of that proceeding. Larry was born 23 Dec 1938 and has been with Jeanette since Jan 1939 Letter from Althea Long sent to Larry by Jeanette states the father of Larry is Bill TAGAY, 2418 Bancroft Way, Berkeley, CA states she (Althea) can't get him to help her but feels that Mrs. May can as "he makes good money."

    3. Re: Aeneas Campbell: In the Maryland Gen. Society Bulletin, Vol. 31, No. 1, Winter 1990, the 1777 Tax list includes Aeneas Campbell Sr, and Jr. In the "Early Families of Southern Maryland", Volume IV, it speaks of Esther Campbell, daughter of Aeneas Campbell who married Levin Oventon Beall who died 1826. (Montgomery County Wills H.13) In Loudoun County VA, 1758, Aeneas Campbell was listed as a trustee in Leesburg. From "Abstracts of Graves of Revolutionary Patriots" 1987, Aeneas Campbell is burried in Campbell-Belt Estate, Rock Hill, nr Leesburg, VA 42. Aeneas Campbell, Jr. is burried, New Hope Bapt. Ch. 3. PLEASE! be careful with the dates that are being broadcast via email. It is NOT good policy to divulge dates of those living or that can easily be connected to those living such as has been done in post Re: CAMPBELL Digest V05 #495. By doing so one is helping increase the risk of identity theft. If there is any possibility that someone can be alive then it common courteous NOT to include them in your published genealogy. NOTICE: I'm NOT including it in this post for that very reason... Ann Florida
