    3. The list has been placed on moderation. No mail reach the list until I have first read and approved it. There has been a death in my family therefore it may take some time before mail is forwarded to the list. While you are waiting you might try thinking about how an adult would act, this is the second time in short period of time that I have had to step in and stop a feud. I am usually easy going, but this is getting ridiculous. I manage several lists and this is the only one that gives problems. In the future this type of reaction we be met with those involved being placed on the "Reject List." Regards, Tom Hesler, Campbell List Manager

    2. I would be afraid to go by now...might have to meet in some secluded location and be driven the rest of the way blindfolded.

    2. It all gives a new meaning to "being clannish" doesn't it. So it seems Campbells aren't all one big happy all inclusive family. And here I am trying to find my Campbell ancestors. Guess they are in that "secret" location.

    3. I am searching for information on my great grandfather's brother and sister. My great grandfather William J. Campbell was born July 17, 1872 in Toledo, Ohio as were his brother and sister. His brother John Campbell born 5/4/1878. His sister born 10/15/1875. Our legend goes that when William J. Campbell's dad, Andrew Campbell died in 1881 in Toledo, Ohio. William stayed behind and his brother, sister and mother (Matilda) went to Canada? Any information would be greatly appreciated-- Rochelle Begovatz.

    2. I'm looking for information on the family of my grandfather's sister, Ellie. Ellie Campbell was born in 1883 in Greene County, TN to James Preston Campbell and Mary Ann Carter. She married Alfred Smith and lived in Indianapolis, Indiana. I believe their children's names were: Edd, Curtis, Melvin, Joe, Alfred, Rose, Jay, Mae, Ocie, and Homer. Would appreciate any information. Mary

    3. Larry was born in 1938 so I think this Elsie would be too young. We don't know if Campbell was her maiden name or if she was married when Larry was born. She was using Althea Campbell when he was born, but court record has Elsie Althea. Thanks for helping. 1. KY Campbells
    2. Evelyn
    3. Our Campbell went from Greenup, KY to AL. Oral Albert Campbell was b. 23 Feb 1866 in Greenup Co., KY. His father was William Harrison Campbell b. 1839 in Greeup Co., KY and his mother was Nancy Elizabeth STARK. William Harrison's father was Thomas Jefferson Campbell b. 1803 in Olive Hill, KY and his mother was Emma ZORNES. Recently, we were going through some of my mother-in-law's old pictures and found some family portrait photos that were made at a studio in Greenup, KY and would very much like to try to identify the young family group. Does anyone have this group of KY Campbells? Oral Albert Campbell came to AL at about the age of 23, according to his obit. He and wife Kate WARLICK lived in Talladega Co., AL and then moved to St. Clair CO., AL. Did any other members of his family move to AL? Thanks, Evelyn Leslie Remlap, AL

    3. I really do enjoy being a subscriber to this list and read every email because I know that maybe someday one of these emails will contain the information I am searching for. However it is really ashame when the past 15 or more emails in my inbox have been people bantering about the where's when's & directions on what should be a wonderful special occasion like this Campbell reunion. It is commendable to want to offer assistance for the directions etc but the discussion should not turn ugly with verbal jabs & stabs...this needs to stop. We all have computers and the information already posted should be enough for people to be able to find their way if they still want to go after all this negativity. Please be kind to one another .... the world is already such a disruptive place. Thank you all for contributing to this list... there is so much to learn from it!
