Also, what about the children of Patrick and Sarah and John and Mary before Mary died HEY COUSINS< WHY NOT SPEND THIS GENERATION IN THIS ENDEVOR, INSTEAD OF WORRYING ABOUT NEW GROUND AND<??> with being 290 & still no madian Name for <GRANNY CATTY??> AND MY COUSINS HAVE TO LOOK FOR NEW AREAS TO RESEARCH, PLEASE COME IN OUT OF THE DARK CUZAT
It is obvious that George I born in 1700 and died in 1849 AHHHH HAAA SO There is no reason to recheck. i would say that this 100 YEAR BO BO, should help to shoot down the< WE DONE GOT EVERY THING STRAIGHT GGRAND PA GGEORGE CAMPBELL WAS BORN I 1700 & Died in 1749 NOT 1849. AND JUST WHERE DID ANY ONE SEE HERE THAT OUR CAMPBELL's came from BARBADOS. THE Information that I have ben able to get from BARBADOS ISS thqt the Barbados camphels Arived in Barbados about the same time As our JOHN Campbell Showed up in ESSEX COUNTY VA
GREAT Deduction CUZ BH; NOW as we have learned that so many of the records from the Counties that our ancestors were raised were destroyed WHY NOT GET REAL & start examining matearil that MIGHT be availiable, MANY of the old people left something of note in the Churchs, Especaly LDS & QUAKERS AND others; we will have to ask. AND TOO dispence wiith that simple idea that THE Articals in the heritage books are all false, I have; the two heritage books rom Amherst county, one from Nelson, appomattox, Bedford, Rockbridge, GENEALOGY OF Wilmore/Wimer & Duff., Heart breaks of nelson County, FourFamilies,LFE IN THE BLUE RIDGE BY CZ LYLE CAMPBELL, Fondest Memories By CUZ VELMA MAYS WHITE, OUR HERITAGE<Miller, Rose, NIEMANHEDGES From 1520 to 1981 BY Rubinette Miler Nieman; who is a descendant of William George Campbell & Sarah Goode Ca mpbell, Incedently She has relocated to Littleton COL. COUSINS I am not saying that every thing in these books will past Genealogical MUster, BUT BY THE SAME TOKENwe researchers will learn nothing by negitive prereading, common scence will tell one that no one knowswhat is in a book with out it being read, AWWW we do ot have time for that <A_______T? WELL CUZ, that shouldn't be a problem, we have been from 1743 to 2013 270 years not haveing found out GRANNY CATTYS,. MAIDEN NAME. I am confident that there is somme informtion i the FAMILY RECORDS< JUST THINK WHERE THEinformation tht was destroyed during the CIVIL WAR hadto come from te minds of our ancestors<HUMANS> Because the HUMAN BEING IS THE ONLY LIVING THING THAT KEEPS RECORDS. THE records that got destroyed came from some ancestor, NOW with OLE GEORGE Campbell & GRANNY CATTY <UNK> THERE are many cousis out there whoveeryn likely have the information that we are seeking but was officaly destroyed during the CIVIL WAR; BUT THERE IS SOME COMMON SCENCE & EFORT REQUIRED. AGAIN? <ASK & ANSWER QUESTIONS SOME ONE KNOWS>CUZ AT Bill; Agree that there are Campbell’s outside of the Amherst county area that according to DNA tests are closely related to ole George Campbell 1720-1791. These individuals are not included in our data base or followed by the group. But no Campbell or a descendant of a Campbell has ever been turned down from joining the Campbell-kids yahoo group. We are trying now to capture the family lineage information on Lawrence, Henry, Francis and Moses to link to our system as separate links. That still will leave Campbell’s out there with close DNA matches like John that married Amey Webster, Abraham, Fountain, Ellis and this William from Lincoln county Tennessee, as well as many others I am sure. It is a fact that none of these outside relatives belong in the family lineage of ole George as we know his family consists of the 13 children. His lineage is now printing near 800 pages and we are not near done. Do all of these outside relatives belong in the lineage to George I, or John, or Patrick? It is just unfortunate that we do not have access to the court records of Caroline County for that period from 1726 through 1864 as they were destroyed during the civil war. What is the solution? 15 different data bases? I don’t think so....6 different family tree’s is asking a lot....I don’t have a solution or even a recommendation. I do know that our original objective was to create a history and build a family tree for George and Caty Campbell of Piney River....period. We all need to keep digging. But to keep cultivating the same land over and over again does no good. We need new ground to cultivate – work outside the box....after all of these years most of the internet has been screened....There has to be information out there....take for example Fountain Campbell who’s father I have been searching for since I became a Campbell-kid. Fountain knew who his mother and father were by name. He was 14 years old when his father turn him over to Henry Schultz in Augusta County. It is likely that Fountain passed this information to his family who’s off springs continued to pass it down. Its in a letter between family members somewhere...... It is information obtained in unusual ways such as this that is going to provide the answers we need. Regards BH
David Campbell, please email me. Thanks. Mickey

I believe this participant, Jeff Campbell, confused our Francis with Francis Lee the son of Lawrence and Kevin might not have changed his master yet. The 30/32 match identifying Major Lawrence Campbell appears to be Gayle's. Although we know that the son of Lawrence Campbell was the Major in the Rev. Brief Summary for Participant – KIT # 47499 > > Oldest Proven Campbell Ancestor: George Washington Campbell (abt. 1720) of Amherst/Nelson Co., VA, USA > > Summary: The earliest records show George Campbell living in Albemarle county, Virginia. He married Catherine (unknown) around 1745 and had 13 children. About 1761, he moved his family to Amherst County, VA and owned 480 acres in the Piney River area. When Nelson County was formed from Amherst, that 480 acres then became known as both counties as the river divides the two counties. Most of George’s descendants remained in Virginia but some did move away. Other surnames associated with this line are Goode, Wright, Cash, and Hudson. It is speculated that he may be the son of a Charles Campbell who come to Virginia from Ireland, accumulated his wealth here and then moved back to Ireland where he married, had children and died. It is speculated that his son George Campbell came back to Virginia, settled his estate in Virginia and remained. > > Line to Present Day Participant: > 1.
