    3. The weather is just beginning to be spring. The poppies have not yet started to bloom, nor have I seen any lupines yet. The ornamental cherries are going strong, but the wild flowers are just now recovering from the severe frosts we had this year. They're all growing nicely but have not started blooming along highway 68. I just heard today that the Carmel Valley didn't get the same severe frost. I don't know about Soledad. I'll let you know when I start seeing wild flowers along Highway 68. Anita Richard H.
