my father's name was abraham fabela. his mother was mary castillo. she was the daughter of alvarado castillo born in gonzales,ca.1870. her mother's name was rosalia soberanes thompson. my grandmother's grand father was guadalupe castillo born in 1842 in monterey,ca. he maried augustina sogora(sogoria?) who was raised at the mission soledad with 50 other indian boys and girls. their band of indians were massacred in tulare ca. and brought to the mission soledad and raised by fred olivas and joe antonio soberanes around 1850. i know my father has cousins that are soberanes' in salinas. my father was born in salinas in 1932. does any of this information match yours?
