George Cruickshank, a resident of Pebble Beach for the past 10 years, died yesterday after a period of falling health. He was born Feb. 28, 1880, in Omaha, Neb., and accompanied his family while a child to Pasadena, where he spent most of his life. Mr. Cruickshank was a prominent lawyer in Southern California and a member of many social and civic organizations and clubs. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Charlotte Cruickhank, a step-daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Bell, both of Pebble Beach, and two step-grandchildren, Mrs. Verne Larson of Pebble Beach and Mrs. George Reid of Menlo Park. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday in St. John's Chapel, Del Monte, with the Rev. August Dun, Jr., rector of All Saints Church in Carmel officiating in the Little Chapel-by-the-Sea, with inurnment in Southern California. Friends may pay their last respect to Mr. Cruickshank at the Dorney and Farlinger Memorial Chapel between 7 and 9 p.m. today. Those wishing to make contributions in the memory of Mr. Cruickshank may do so in form of donations to the Peninsula Community Hospital.
