    3. Hi Judie, I've done better: < http://www.sfarchdiocese.org>. This is the home page for the Catholic Archdiocese of San Francisco. From my wanderings on the site, it appears to still be under construction. More than likely, someone else on the list is better versed in Catholic terminology, and can point you in a more correct direction. When I queried "San+Francisco+Diocese" in my favorite search engine, I got primarily Greek Orthodox URLs. As I mentioned in my intial email on this topic, I stumbled on the Diocese of Monterey's website. I was actually searching for information on "adobe+construction" and the Monterey Diocese showed up in the list of websites that contained the phrase that I had queried. When using a search engine, I suggest placing your request inside qoutes along with "+" signs instead of spaces. It takes a bit of experimenting, as well as narrowing down or expanding the group of words [also changing the order of the words] to zero in on websites that are more or less close to the information you are seeking. Patience and tenacity are also important. Some of the best websites I've found were not in the first 20, or second, or third, or even the fourth or fifth layer, of choices. No matter how fast your computer or server is, it can sometimes take hours to find the nitty-gritty specifics. Personally, I have come to really enjoy doing research on the web. I have learned a whole lot of American history that never appeared in any of my academic history books. Hope this helps, Anita C. Monterey County
