In 1898 he also homesteaded (1/4 section # 1 township 21) in Long Valley near San Lucas. In 1895 he married Louise F Bourgess in Peach Tree at the top of Long Valley. They left the area by 1900 to head to Norther Cal. If anyone could relay any infomation about the families and the properties history. The Bourges faher was John B Bourgess. His land was across the river from San Lucas off the Oasis Road.We do not know what happened to the rest of the Bourges family. Alfred and Alice Bourges signed the marriage papers and a D.W. Potter was the Justice of the Peace at Peach Tree. If anyone has the 1880 or 1890 Fed census that would list both families and it would help give info. Thank you.
