Weck, 59, passed away yesterday in a local hospital after a short illness. He had resided in Salinas for 10 years and was a native of Sayresville, N.J. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Maude Weck of the family home, 513 Fremont street; a son, Jim Weck of Upper Niac, N.W.; one daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Vlcej, New Brunswick, N.J.; a brother, Ed Weck and one sister, Mrs. Motz Thompson, both of Sayresville. Mr. Weck was a veteran of World War I and was a member of the local Teamsters union No. 890. Services will be held Monday morning, 8:45 o'clock at Muller's mortuary, followed by 9:15 requiem mass in St. Mary of the Nativity Catholic church and interment in the Garden of Memories. Rosary will be recited in Muller's mortuary at 8 p.m. Sunday. >From Salinas Californian, dated 23 February 1954: RITES CONDUCTED FOR OTTO WECK Many friends attended funeral for Otto H. Weck, 59, who passed away in a local hospital Thursday after a short illness. Services were held from the Muller mortuary. Requiem mass was celebrated at the St. Mary of the Nativity church with the Rev. Michael J. Buckley officiating. Serving as pall bearers were Adolph Klute, John Owen, A.J. Willard, H.L. She is survived by a sister, Roma McElroy of Springdale, Ark. Graveside services are scheduled for 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at Garden of Memories Memorial Park, with the Rev.
