    2. Dona: While at the Monterey County Recorder's Office yesterday, I had a chance to search Book 2, Index to Marriage Licenses 1906 - 1923, for Fancher entries both male and female. Here are all of the entries I found in the index. If you would like any of the records transcribed, I have one more trip to make to the Recorder's (probably next week) and I will see what I can do. Note that it is not likely that parents' names will be recorded in the documents of these early years. Also, the date of record is not always the date of marriage; it is the date the marriage was recorded in the county. Francher, James A. {as spelled} to Laguna, Jennie; date of license 5 June 1911; date of record 8 August 1911; Book 7 - 245 Fancher, Lizzie A. to Westcott, Maurice J.; L 23 June 1912; R 26 June 1913; Book 8 - 91 {Note: The year 1912 was a ditto from the entry above it and appears to me to be an error.} Fancher, Rachel to Journey, James Alfred; L 6 October 1913; R 14 October 1913; Book 8 - 147 Fancher, Lillie B. to Windfieldt, Henry P.; L 16 September 1916; R 18 September 1916; Book 5 - 256 Fancher, Laura to Cavalli, Barney; L 27 February 1918; R 28 February 1918; Book 10 - 6 I did not search under Windfieldt or Sturzenegger. --Sheila P.
