Hello Terry -- There were some MATTHEWS families out in the "Corral de Tierra" area of Salinas (north of Salinas, out by the base of the Gabilan Mountains -- check the Rogge Road & Old Stage Road area). I went to school with one MATTHEWS daug, her name is Cheryl (b. 1949), & she had a younger brother but I don't remember his name. At this time (40+ yrs later) I cannot recall what her father did for a living but I do know they had horses!!
