Hi Robin, If the death occurred in the year 2000, the two weekly newspapers for the Salinas area are the "Salinas Californian" and "The Monterey County Herald." I'm not sure about the "Salinas Californian", but the Herald has a website at <http//www.montereyherald.com> where you can order a single copy of the April 18, 2000 edition. Hope this helps, Anita C.
