At the present time the Salinas Public Library microfilm and local history section is closed indefinitely for asbestos removal. --Sheila P. ++++++++++ >From Salinas Californian, dated 9 October 1981: OBITUARIES Billie Dunn Billie Dunn, a 45-year Salinas resident, died Wednesday at Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital after a long illness. She was 73. The Marysville, Calif., native was a member of the Corral de Tierra County Club. Mrs. Dunn is survived by two stepgrandchildren and two nieces. She was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice Dunn, in March 1981. Dunn was the former owner of Salinas Valley Appliance Company. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Paul's Episcopal Church. The Rev. Dennis Serdahl, rector, will officiate. Cremation will be in the Garden of Memories.
