His parents were Floyd Joshua Taylor (22 aug 1879-12 apr 1961) of Minnesota and Hovina Romero (5 MAY 1879-18 FEB 1946) born in Monterey County. Hovina Romero's father was Clemente Romero, (Hovina's death certificate lists father as born in Visalia, California). I do not know how long my great-grandparents resided in Monterey County.
