Hi Dee, Monterey County Hospital was the "public/county hospital". For those individuals who died at the "county hospital" and had no heirs, funds, were indigent, etc., the county "potter's field" was [and still exists] at the intersection of Natividad Road and Laurel Drive, overlooking "Carr Lake". Just to the south of the "county potter's field" is the Chinese Cemetery on Natividad Road. Hope this helps, Anita C.
