Hi Carol, I noticed the surname CLEVELAND in your email. In Monterey County there is a "Cleveland Rock", elevation 2,510 feet. There is a little bit of information about it in "Monterey County Places Names:" "Cleveland Rock Rises in Sec. 30 T19S R11E. One WILLIAM C. CLEVELAND, a native of Illinois, recieved a patent to 160 acres in this section on November 3, 1891, and LOUIS CLINTON CLEVELAND, also a native of Illinois, received a patent to 160 acres in nearby Secs. 19 and 29. I have yet to learn their relationship. While the patent date is 1891, a CLEVELAND had landed here as far back as 1868." Cleveland Rock is almost due east of San Lucas, in Monterey County, very close to the San Benito County line.
