Meeker dies in hospital . A short Illness took the life of Fred O. Meeker, 75, who passed away in a Salinas Hospital Saturday. He came to this city four years ago from Woodland and has been living at 425 North Main Street. Mr. Meeker's family was well-known in this valley; his parents were Mr. and Mrs. Warren F. Meeker, pioneer settlers in the Buena Vista District. He was a native of Tulare County. Surviving are five brothers: Roy T. Meeker , Santa Rosa; Chester L. Meeker, Thermal; Marion M. Meeker, Berkeley; Warren F. Meeker, Woodland and LLoyd Meeker, San Jose; one sister Mrs. Katherine Johnson, Salinas. Funeral rites will be tomorrow, 2 pm in Muller's motuary Chapel. Interment will be in the garden of memories.
