Hi Everyone, I'm looking for information on the HARLAN family who lived in Monterey County in the 1890s and later in Santa Cruz County. The HARLANs I have been able to identify so far are: • William O. HARLAN [living in San Joaquin County in 1894]. • Benjamin C. HARLAN [B: 4/21/1864 in California, D: 8/31/1944 in Santa Cruz County] • Benjamin was married to Ida Estella Harlan. Ida was born 4/8/1869 in California to Mother AYEERS and Father CARIER. Ida died 2/3/1946 in Santa Cruz County. What I am most interested in was what the relationship was between William and Benjamin. There was also a George and Martha in the area at the same time. Were the HARLANs land speculators, building contractors, etc. "It's all about the house that used to be at 459 Soledad Street in Salinas." Thank you for any assistance, Anita C. Monterey County
