Hi, I'm new to the list, from Texas, and looking for links, information on Pacific Grove. I've just received a packet of information containing my 2xgreat-grandfather obit, (J. S. Harris) saying he died September 27, 1909, in Pacific Grove, California, while living with his son, Charles Harris. Jonathan S. Harris (J. S.) and wife Susan Hall Harris moved to Pacific Grove in 1901. The son Charles Harris had already established residence, having moved from Highmore, Hyde County, South Dakota. This has been a long search, starting in Onandago and Chautauqua County, New York, then to Earlville, Deleware County, Iowa, to Highmore, Hyde County, South Dakota, and final resting place: Pacific Grove, California.
