    3. Someone I know sent this to me. It is a T-Shirt that has a 4 generation chart on the back of it so you can fill it in. I thought this would be a good idea for a family reunion. That way everyone can show their lineage on their T-Shirt so we don't get so confused. Theresa http://www5.icat.com/store/familything/index.icl?execute=itempg.icl&ITEMID=2

    3. Hi Theresa, Thank you for posting the petition information. There's an old pioneer cemetery in Santa Rita that's endangered and this petition could help the local efforts to protect the cemetery as well as Our Lady of Guadeloupe church. BTW, Santa Rita is an old township that is now part of North Salinas. Many of the early pioneers of Santa Rita are buried in the old cemetery. Take care, Anita C. 1. Re: [CAMONTER] Births August 23, 1946
    2. You can go to this site <http://userdb.rootsweb.com/ca/birth/search.cgi> and enter Monterey County and 1946. You will have to wade through more than 2000 births to see which other ones may have occurred on that date. Without looking at the birth certificates, you will not be able to tell in which city in Monterey County the births occurred. Even the indexes at the Monterey County Recorder's office are surname specific. If you visit the Recorder's Office, they might (?) allow you to look through the volume of births for the month of August, 1946, which are chronological by date of recording. However, they are not usually receptive to such requests when it comes to birth records. They usually require you to specify names and dates and then they will pull the individual certificate for you. --Sheila P. 2. Karen: <kmsrossi@pe.net> No luck finding Opal on the CADI, which is now available for searching at <http://userdb.rootsweb.com/ca/death/search.cgi>. Last week the microfilm section of the Salinas Public Library reopened, and I was able to find an obit for Blaine H. I could not locate either Dorothy Gay or Henry Byal in the online CADI or SSDI. It is possible that they are still living. Also, you might want to check the white pages for the Gay children listed in Colleen's first email to you, as they would be Blaine's grandchildren.
