Hi MoCo Listers! I am trying to connect two ladies to my BORONDA family. They were interviewed in the 1950's at age 80-something. Emma AMBROSIA and Francesca ABBY are descended somehow from my Jose Manuel BORONDAs (senior and/or junior), but I cannot figure out exactly how. Francesca's mother was supposed to have been Maria de la Fonte (Fuente?) BORONDA and her grandmother Juana Guapa BORONDA. Is there anyone on list working on Californiano families who might know how these ladies descend from either of the Jose Manuel BORONDAs? Each was born in a Boronda adobe. He was our great uncle. He was married to Maggie Brown and had no children. He married Bessie Pearl Doty Sharpes in 1951. They had no children. He died Jan 1, 1967. He never used a cane and was very active until his death. Bessie had a sister by the name of Rosetta C. Doty. She married William Z. Adam of Bryson Valley or Doty Flats just across the Monterey Co., San Luis Obispo Co. line. Hope this helps. E. Wood

Hi Rebecca, If the Ehrmans were residents of Monterey County, the public record of their will would be filed with the Probate Division of the county court: Probate Division 1200 Aquajito Road Monterey, CA 93940 Telephone: 1-831-647-7730 Since their death was due to a fatal auto accident, you should also be able to get a complete record of the accident from the Monterey County Sheriff department. I would try calling the Records Division at 1-831-755-3722. The county and local residents are still debating the best way to resolve the problem at that intersection. There were a total of four traffic deaths within a three week period this spring at the same location. The "Monterey County Herald" had extensive news coverage of the tragedies.
