Redding Record-Searchlight – November 2, 2006 Dorotha Babcock NUBIEBER -- A celebration of life for former Shasta County resident Dorotha Jane Babcock, 81, of Nubieber will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Grace Bible Church behind Hillside Cemetery in Nubieber. Burial will be at Hillside Cemetery. The Rev. Kent House of the church will officiate. Mrs. Babcock died Saturday, Oct. 28, 2006, at Shasta Healthcare in Redding. She was born Nov. 5, 1924, in Pittville and moved to Lassen County in the late 1940s from Redding. She was a homemaker and a member of a garden club, the 50 Plus Club and the senior citizens center, all in Bieber. Survivors include son Mike of Bieber; daughters Peggy Wust of Redding and Patty Givens of Susanville; brothers Bill Cessna and Sonny Cessna, both of McArthur; half brother Bud Cupp of Pittville; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
