(it's been like looking for needle in haystack!!) In Merced, Merced Co, I have found: HICKS, James, 56, born MO Elizabeth, 45, PA Sarah J, 17, CA James K, 15, CA Susan F, 13, CA Kate, f, 11, CA Edna G, f, 5 CA Ten families above this one, I found the following: STONEROAD, William, 29 AK Maggie E. 22, MO George E, 1, CA Does anyone recognize any of these names? Would anyone have access to marriage records to see if Maggie that married Wm Stoneroad was Maggie Hicks? I have in 1860 MO: HICKS, James E, 37, merchant, MO Elizabeth, 25, MO Margaret, 3, MO Edward A, 1, MO Harrington, Thomas, 19, clerk IRE Keen, John M, 27, MO Boyd, Mary, 22, f, IRE According to newspaper articles, James left for CA from Boone Co MO, in Apr 1850 (he is not on MO 1850 census, or at least I have not found him); he returns from CA in Jan 1851. He marries Elizabeth KEEN in 1855, and they leave for CA (family) in May 1861. Any help, census (1850, 1870, 1900, etc), marriage(s) for Maggie (or others), obits, cemetery records would all be GREATLY appreciated!! Thanks in advance! Paula
