A native of San Francisco, he had lived in Merced six years. He was a retired farmer and a veteran of the Spanish American war, and is survived by his widow, Lena Michael. Funeral services will be held Monday morning at 10:30 a.m. at Ivers and Alcorn Mission chapel with the Rev. Andrew Scott of the Episcopal church, officiating. Burial will be at Masonic cemetery with the Veterans of Foreign Wars taking part.
