Dos Palos Star, Dos Palos, CA. Friday, July 11, 1941. Front page. DR. A. P. PRESTON SUCCUMBS AFTER EXTENDED ILLNESS. Dr. A.P. Preston died at his home here on Thursday morning following an illness of several months. He had been a resident of Dos Palos since May, 1939, when he came here from San Francisco to establish a dental practice at the Dos Palos Medical Center. Dr. Preston was born in San Luis Obispo and completed his education at the University of California and the University of Pennsylvania. He practiced in San Francisco with offices at 450 Sutter street for ten years before coming to Dos Palos. He had also practiced a number of years in the Philippine Islands. Dr. and Mrs. Preston were married August 3, 1933. Surviving him besides his wife, Mrs. Esther Elizabeth Preston, who was with him at the time of his death, are two sons, Rue Preston and Richard Preston and Mrs. W. Newhal, a sister, who resides in San Antonio, Texas.
