Thanks a million! I'm really not surprised that Leo & his Dad were in that line of business. Back in Central Texas, Lorenzo Dow Richardson -- Leo's Dad, had been taught the Blacksmith trade by his father-in-law, Thomas J. McCarver (b. July 6, 1852 in MS; d. Dec. 18, 1927 in TX); as a matter of fact, according to B.C. Chrisman's book, Early Days of Callahan County, Mr. McCarver constructed a 2 story building in Atwell, TX; the book states that he opened a Blacksmith Shop on the first floor, and it lists his son-in-law, L.D. Richardson as one of the employees; the second floor of the building, it says, was used as a Woodsmen of the World Lodge. Pretty cool, huh? Thanks Again, Ben Andrews, El Paso, TX Ben Andrews.
