The obituaries for Julia Jones of Mariposa Co. do not appear to be connected to the family I am researching. She was single and her parents came from the wrong states to connect with the Julia I'm looking for. However, the obit for Alexander McElroy is right on target. We had wondered why we couldn't find Julia Thorpe's parents. Now we know she was raised by a step-father! And with the info you provided, I found Julia's mother--Susan S. McElroy (maiden name unknown). Thanks again!
