She was the youngest (about 2 yrs old) of three sisters who got split up as children. Her mother's maiden name was Lingenfelter, her father's name was Johnson. Not certain as to what happened to Gladys, but it is quite possible she was adopted by someone. That would help to explain how she showed up in California, rather than staying in Iowa. Hope this helps. I have a picture of the children that was taken when the oldest was maybe 15 down to age 6 or 7 for the youngest. Paul might be about 3 -5 years younger than Willard, which would make him about mid 70's now. Willard would be somewhere around 75, if he is still living. The daughter Mary looks to be close to Paul in age, and Lena might be 4 - 5 yrs. younger. I found a death record for a Willard J. Gregory of Merced Co. giving his birth date as 16 July 1923, which would be about right. According to that record he died in 1974. Sure appreciate you checking this out for me. Thanks a bunch.
