Cliburn died at his home of cancer at the age of 55. The Mississippi native, a Redwood Valley resident for the past 20 years, was a veteran of World War II and a member of Abell Lodge 146, F&AM. A rancher, he is survived by his wife, Evelyn, and by three children, Charles E. Cliburn and Mrs. Carolyn Johnson, both of Redwood Valley, and Michael Cliburn of Portland, Ore. His parents, Mr. and Mrs. Andres Eule Cliburn of Mississippi also survive, as do three brothers and sisters, Mary Alice Herring and William Cliburn, both of Mississippi, and James Cliburn of California. Two grandchildren also survive. Officers of Abell Lodge 146 will officiate at services. Burial will be in Ukiah Cemetery.
